TONIA CALDERON 🎨🎨🎨
“It is my hope as I push growth in myself and my work, my work will find itself standing on it’s own. Proving itself inspirational, when I am no longer able to stand beside it.” - Tonia Calderon’. January 2022.
Los Angeles based artist Tonia Calderon is inspired by her personal life experiences, relationships and multi cultural background in her works. Calderon applies boundless structures and surfaces through a unique scope forcing the viewer to question, feel, and reflect. Armed with a myriad of unpredictable mediums Calderon constantly challenges traditional definitions of a contemporary art by inviting an intimate level of interaction with her work.
Part painting, part visual language, Calderon’s work has become a favorite among a wide range of notable collectors and celebrities. Her work has expanded in form of paintings, sculptures, murals, furniture design to high profile commercial collaborations. Calderon explains “I want my work to stand for itself, I want people to be able to emotionally connect with each piece- whether my narrative is told or not.”
