โ€œThese are the times that try menโ€™s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny...is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.โ€

Thomas Paine, The American Crisis, No. 1, December 19, 1776

Join us THIS THURSDAY (6/4) at 5 p.m. as we host a reception alongside Greenwood County SC 250 Coalition to celebrate the start of our summer exhibit: The Road to Revolution in the Upstate.

"Who were the Patriots?"
"Who were the Loyalists?"
"Who held Star Fort?"
"How did people live in the Backcountry?"

Join us as we continue our mission to save, share and celebrate our area's rich history. Don't miss it!
