German American Cultural Center

German American Cultural Center The GACC, founded 25 years ago, is an interpretive center celebrating the German immigrants who settled in southeast Louisiana starting in the 1700s.

It has a small museum and a genealogy research room, both open to the public, free of charge.

A 30-voice men's choir from Germany will give a FREE concert at 7 pm on Monday, May 11, at St. Joseph Church in Gretna, 610 Sixth Street. The choir, from Glückstadt, Germany, will include works sung in both English and German, ranging from sacred works and spirituals to popular songs, such as “You Raise Me Up,” “Love Me Tender,” and “Sweet Caroline.” Don't miss it!
