Little Bill

The first plane visitors see when they walk into the museum. This plane is one of the most interesting planes in the museum. Known as "Little Bill", it is the only miniature 403 D Wing plane in the world. It was graciously donated by people who work in sheet metal. It is a fun attraction for the kids, where they can sit inside and pretend they are the passengers or the pilot. It even comes with a little slide to. We use this plane for parades, most notably the Mardi Gras Parade. There we throw hundreds of paper planes into the crowd. Come by and see "Little Bill" for yourself. This plane has a fascinating story that you will want to know more about.

STEM Area Pianos.

Here in the STEM area, we have two piano mats that the kids can play with. Kids can tap their feet on these floor pianos and play thier own type of music. These pianos also have buttons that when pressed play a beat, so kids can make thier own music while playing along with other music. It's fun for them and adults to. Come by and give it a shot. It's not often you to play a piano with your feet.

USO Voice Recorders

Here in the upcoming USO exhibit we have a home recorder. During the Second World War, USO clubs had booths where soldiers could record thier own messages and send them to thier families. The audio was placed onto cardboard coated in wax and discs made from aluminum. Today, we can record messages home on our phones and computers. But in the 1940s, this was one of the best methods for soldiers to send a message home. This is an interesting take not just on USO history but also a history in communications.

Franscisco's Office

Here is the office of our supervisor. This is where Franscisco makes important decisions that help benefit the museum. Francisco spends much of his time in his office. He maps out scheduals for each month; planning for group tours, events, and future projects. He makes important calls to help secure grants and accept donations. This room is a testament to the hard work Francisco puts in each day to help the museum thrive and make sure its visitors have nothing but a good experience once they enter.

Hologram

Here in the upcoming USO exhibit we have a second bartender hologram display. Visitors can get twice the experience of being part of a simulation where they're served a drink at a USO club. The hologram helps add some more life into the exhibit. Visitors can feel as if they're in the 1940s having a good time. Come by when the exhibit offically opens and check out this hologram and the others. You'll find them quite enjoyable.

Tuskegee Display

Here in the Tuskegee Airmen Exhibit, there is a display case which contains books about the squadron, Tuskegee Airmen dolls, a small bust of President Harry Truman, postcards, model planes, and badges. Each item is dedicated to the actions and impact the Airmen had during WWII. We like to honor brave pilots like the Airmen both past and present. During war the actions of one squadron can turn the tide of any battle.
