Hi Everyone - Mark down these 3 dates if you need help writing your family history for the Bicentennial Book, if you want to drop off your histories, or drop off your book order.
-Thursday, October 6, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Lee Ola Roberts Library in Whiteville.
-Thursday, October 13, 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Grand Junction Library
-Saturday, October 15, 11:00 a.m.-1:00 pm. at the Middleton Library
Deadline for family history submissions is November 15 - so be sure to get yours submitted!

Hello Everyone! I have a couple of important dates for you and GOOD news about our Bicentennial Family & County History book. We have been working with our publisher to give even more families the opportunity to share your family history. Our FINAL deadline to submit family histories has been extended to November 15, 2022. You can mail your information to Hardeman County Bicentennial Book, P. O. Box 174, Hornsby, TN 38044, drop your information off at the Bolivar Hardeman-County Library OR you may upload it directly to www.acclaimpress.com and look for Hardeman County Tennessee. You may also place your order for a copy of the book at their website as well. So, November 15 is our first important date; we will not be able to get any further extensions after that date, so please get your information submitted.
Our second important date is Saturday, September 24. Members of our Bicentennial Book Committee will be at the Bolivar Hardeman County Library from 8:00 a.m.-Noon that day to accept your submissions, take orders for your copy of the book, and to assist you in writing your family history. Please come by and see us!

There is no limit to the number of family lines/histories that you can submit, just please submit each one separately. This is for anyone who lives here now, used to live here, just moved here-if your family has a Hardeman County connection we want YOU to be a part of the story of our county!

Family histories up to 500 words and one photo received will be included in the book at no charge. The only way to ensure you receive a copy of this bicentennial book that will feature a well-researched history of Hardeman County is to reserve your copy now online at www.AcclaimPress.com and look for the Hardeman County book cover on the homepage, or mail a check for $59.95 per limited edition copy or $89.95 per deluxe leather copy (add $7.60 per book for S&H, $6.00 per book for name embossing up to 24 letters) to Hardeman County History Book, PO Box 174, Hornsby, TN, 38044. I wanted to let everyone know that our Bicentennial Edition of the Hardeman County Book is moving forward and that you still have time to submit your family's information. This book is for EVERYONE who has a Hardeman County connection - you live here now, you used to live here, your grandparents lived here - all of those stories tell the bigger story of our county!!

From Lisa Coleman - hello friends. It is with a sad heart that I let you know that the architect and heartbeat of this page, Greg Howell, passed away yesterday. Greg and I started this page almost 10 years ago to share stories of our wonderful Hardeman County. Greg worked tirelessly to keep this page going and going and going! Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers.

Response to the first family history submission period for the Hardeman County History and Families, Vol. III – Bicentennial Edition book has been very good with a few dozen families already submitting their free family histories and photos. Greg Howell and the book committee would like to thank all those who have responded so promptly to record their family’s history in this keepsake anniversary book.

Many have expressed a need for more time to prepare their family histories, so the book committee and the publisher have agreed to extend the deadline to July 30, 2022.
