Oklahoma Sports Heritage Museum The Oklahoma Sports Heritage Museum Has moved to the Okla History Center This year, the Museum takes on a new life as the Territorial Capital Sports Museum. ft.

The TCSM is the dream of Coach Richard Hendricks, Ferguson Jenkins, (Hall of Fame and Harlem Globetrotters) and Hubert "Geese" Ausbie. They wanted to honor the many Oklahoma athletes who have, over many years, inspired passion for
sports in the state. Preserving these sports traditions with historical memorabilia has been a project that
came to fruition in 1993 when the Oklahoma Sports Museum Ass

ociation opened the Oklahoma Sports Museum in Guthrie. It's new name honors
Guthrie, the First Territorial and State Capital of the Oklahoma Territory and the State of Oklahoma. The TCSM's home is located in three adjoining buildings listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. Within its 13,000 sq. space,
the Museum houses a huge collection of sports artifacts and educational
displays. Famous sports names and their artifacts inhabit every room in the TCSM. Baseball, Basketball, Football, Olympics, Golf and Rodeo are represented
with comprehensive gallery exhibits. Oklahoma Heisman Trophy Award
winners, Final Four teams and Native American Athletes are lauded with
extensive collections along with tributes to women in Oklahoma Sports. A gallery devoted to the Oklahoma High School Baseball Coaches
Association's Hall of Fame is one of the highlights of the Museum. Coach Richard Hendricks and the dedicated Museum volunteers will greet
you at the door, show you around the galleries and tell you the fascinating
stories of Oklahoma's sports history and its heroes.
