About one year ago, The Owens Arts Place Museum began a year long celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Logan County’s first fine arts museum. My how time flies.

“The Wonderful World of Wallace Owens, Jr.”

Owens Arts Place Museum in Guthrie, Oklahoma cordially invites the public to join us at our first event of 2026–the Artists Talk featuring Al Bostic. This exciting event will take place at the museum located at 1202 E. Harrison Avenue on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM. This is a continuation of the 20 Year Anniversary Celebration of this fine arts museum. In addition to Al Bostic’s Artists Talk we will enjoy other activities to include an open mic while showing the permanent collection of the gallery. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

We are delighted to continue our year-long celebration commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Owens Arts Place Museum. We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Guthrie community and surrounding areas for their participation and support.

As we continue our year-long 20th Anniversary Celebration of Owens Arts Place Museum (OAPM), we remain mindful of other scheduled activities in the area that may conflict with our previously scheduled event for October 12th. Therefore, we have decided to reschedule our celebration of The Divine Nine and Colleges and Universities for the last Sunday in October. We cordially invite everyone to join us at OAPM on Sunday, October 26, 2025, for the Open Mic - Divine Nine and College and University Appreciation Day. We look forward to seeing you there!

Celebrating The 80s at Owens Arts Place Museum on tomorrow, August 10th!
Hope to see you Sunday afternoon!

Throughout this year, we are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Owens Arts Place Museum at 1202 E. Harrison in Guthrie. On August 10th, we’re Celebrating Everything 80s! And however, you define that is perfectly fine with us.

Maybe bring forward something special from the 80s? Or wear something that was loved in the 80s? Maybe some 80s music. Or someone we love who is pushing 80, in their 80s and beyond. Let’s just share some joy!

There’ll be “Open Mic,” so bring your favorite story/anecdote or poem or music to share. Maybe a little karaoke 🎤.

Our Sunday afternoon of fun starts around 3 PM and lasts as long as we do.
