On Tuesday, April 1, 2025 Robert McNeill and some tractor experts worked on the ROGERS replica that operated at both the 1948 and 1949 Chicago Railroad Fair. He is pleased to report that it turned over but more work on valves and other mechanical aspects will need attention. The Illinois Railway Museum and the WRHS WELCOME donations for this project. The WRHS has earmarked and expended a small part of the 5000 dollars we initially raised. MATCHING grants and funds are being sought. Painting (matching the ORIGINAL Wabash Blue it was in) and other funding will be needed going forward. the current paint scheme was done for use at Masonic (Shriners) parades in the mid to late 1950's. Contact Robert McNeill at [email protected] for more information or to donate. FOLLOW THE FLAG!!!
