New acquisition today. This colossal 6 by 9 foot painting is by George King and titled autumn in the Adirondacks. It is very dirty and I can't wait to clean it. The painting is very reminiscent of a George inness as king worked with Inness.

found this bizarre painting of a zoomorphic creature stabbing a native american on the back of a irving bacon painting from 1910. Bacon painted the reaction of natives to white settlers in a famouse painting bought by buffalo bill. on the front of this painting bacon depicts a native american man standing on the banks of the Rouge river gazing at a herd of cows possibly for the first time. the location of this painting is where Henry Ford would eventually build his Ford Motor company.
