We're kicking off the Poke Sallet Festival this weekend, and the Historic Harlan Museum is joining in on the celebration! 🌿⛰️ Stop by the Harlan Center this weekend to explore a special poke sallet exhibit highlighting the history, traditions, and Appalachian roots behind one of the region’s most unique plants, and festivals.

The Historic Harlan Museum will be open for our regular hours, so you can drop in and learn more about the history of Harlan County-- From pop culture to coal mines, and beyond!

The Historic Harlan Museum is celebrating Harlan County graduates and the bright futures ahead of them! 🎓❤️

From Pre-K and Kindergarten to high school, trade school, and college graduates, this special exhibit celebrates the hard work, memories, and milestones of local students throughout the community.

Thank you to all of the community members and families who submitted photos and future plans to help make this exhibit so special! Visit the exhibit, on display at the Historic Harlan Museum today!
