Welcome back to Throwback Thursday, folks. 🕰

Does this street in this photo look familiar? Well, that's because it still exists in Downtown Harlem! New Street is in this undated photograph.

Our best guess is that this photograph was taken sometime around 1920-1940 (1930s is probably more accurate). Harlem Java House will be having a fall market soon on this very street (now paved!)

What historic events were happening in the 1930s?

We'll go first - Amelia Earhart became the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean in 1932!

Picture donated by *checks notes* also Ms. L. Sargent.
