As we remember the anniversary of D-Day, we honor a local hero. A hero is someone who gives of himself, often putting his own life at great risk, for the greater good of others. There is no greater example of this than the men and women of this country that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 2nd Lt John Butler of Andrewville was killed in action on 6 Jun 1944. As we remember the anniversary of D-Day, we remember those that made the price for freedom. To learn more about this hero, please plan to visit our museums.

Today is set aside to remember those that paid the ultimate price for our freedom. But tomorrow, it is just as important that we remember and honor them. One day is not enough to repay the debt we owe so many. Thank you will never be enough. We owe them our very lives
