Every booth sold out! Camp Millionaire wrapped up a week of hands-on financial learning with a successful Market Day. Campers immersed themselves in the Museum's Mini-Economy as they applied for jobs, earned and saved Museum Bucks, designed products, set prices, created marketing materials, and opened their own storefronts. By the end of the day, every young entrepreneur had sold out of their inventory.

Friends and family shopped the marketplace using Museum Bucks designed by the campers.

This program was presented in partnership with Your Economic Success (YES).

Happy Airport Workers Day!
From ticket agents and TSA officers to mechanics, pilots, and ground crews, it takes a dedicated team to keep air travel moving safely and smoothly.

Our Take Flight exhibit gives children a chance to step into some of these important roles through imaginative play. Thank you to the airport professionals and especially our friends from Shenandoah Valley Airport who help connect our community every day!

🔨✨ Meet Our Maker City Summer Interns!

We're thrilled to have Veronica Gutierrez and Madison Pascarella joining the Maker City team this summer.

A recent graduate of Harrisonburg High School, Veronica has completed her first year at Northwestern University, where she is pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences. Having grown up visiting Explore More, she's excited to return to a place that sparked her curiosity and to encourage young makers to think creatively, experiment, and tackle new challenges.

Madison, a graduate of Redeemer Classical School, recently completed her first year at Virginia Tech and is pursuing a degree in Industrial Design. Passionate about art and design, she looks forward to sharing her talents with Maker City participants and helping bring their ideas to life through hands-on projects.

We're excited to see the impact Veronica and Madison will make as they inspire curiosity and creativity in Maker City this summer!
