• collecting, archiving, publishing, and displaying items – books, equipment, artifacts, videos, music, pictures representing the tobacco and other significan

t agricultural, religious, athletic, educational, and artistic influences;
• offering exhibits, presentations, events for citizens of the local and surrounding area to better appreciate Havana’s history and heritage; and
• engaging and energize members of the Havana and surrounding communities by encouraging visits to this area in order to further enhance the understanding of Havana as it was then, and all it has to offer now....

It is the goal of the Havana History & Heritage Society to educate visitors to our community about the history and heritage of Havana, and to increase appreciation for Havana’s current social and civic activities, volunteer groups, businesses, and resources. Funding of this mission and goals occurs through the sale of books, pictures, art works, video & audio recordings about historical and current people & notable resources in the Havana area; and through grants and donated funding in order to support the necessary facilities, collections, displays and events as reflected in the mission statement.
