🍷🍂 LOOK WHO CAME BACK TO VISIT US FROM INDIANA! 🍂🍷

One of the things we love most about having our gallery in Downtown Hayward is the wonderful people we meet along the way!

Back in June, we had the pleasure of meeting part of this group visiting from Indiana. Before they left, they told us they'd be back—and today they made good on that promise! This time, they brought the whole crew! ❤️

What a gorgeous fall day to spend some time in Downtown Hayward! The group stopped in to enjoy some w**e, a few of our signature W**e-A-Ritas, and some great conversation. And they even took home one of our beautiful loon prints! 📸🦆

We absolutely love seeing familiar faces return to our gallery. It's visits like these that remind us why we love what we do!

📸💍🎶 IT’S GOING TO BE A BUSY WEEKEND AT JAMES NETZ PHOTOGRAPHY! 🎶💍📸
We have a big weekend ahead with TWO weddings on Saturday, which means our Downtown Hayward gallery will be CLOSED for the day while our team is out doing what started all of this—capturing some pretty important moments!

Jim and Casey will be heading to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, tomorrow to prepare for a beautiful evening wedding on Saturday.

Meanwhile, I’ll be a little closer to home at Lakewoods Resort in Cable, photographing another wedding and providing DJ services for the reception. And this weekend I'm bringing my nephew Reid along to help me with the DJ side of things. It should be a fun one! 📸🎧

We have been hearing more and more lately, “We stopped by, but you were closed!” So we wanted to explain why that sometimes happens.

Our Downtown Hayward gallery is an incredibly important part of our business, but photography and video are what started this journey more than 20 years ago. Our clients continue to rely on our creativity and experience to capture some of the most important days of their lives—and sometimes that means we have to step away from the gallery. And for that, we are incredibly grateful.

We are blessed to be busy, and even more blessed to have clients who continue to trust us with their weddings, families, businesses and once-in-a-lifetime moments.
To everyone who has hired us, visited our gallery, purchased our artwork, recommended us to others, or simply followed and supported what we do—THANK YOU.

James Netz Photography is out and about today at FallFest in Downtown Hayward, Wisconsin! But Jim is at Copper Falls capturing someone's beautiful wedding today.

Along with our helper Reid Conner from Conner Properties, we're providing the audio for today's bands and keeping the music going between performances. 🎤🎶 It's always great to be part of the action and help bring a little more music and energy to Downtown Hayward!

And look who stopped into our gallery for a visit today—all dressed up for the occasion! 😄📸 You never know who might walk through our doors during FallFest!

🦌 An Unexpected Northwoods Encounter!

Last evening, while driving back from a commercial shoot, I was fortunate enough to come across an incredible sight near Clam Lake, Wisconsin — two magnificent bull elk sparring!

Of course, all of my good video equipment was packed away in the truck, and there was no time to start digging it out. So, the cell phone had to do the job! 📱🎥 Sometimes the best camera really is the one you have in your hand.

Even with the phone, what an amazing encounter to witness. Seeing these two majestic bulls sizing each other up and locking antlers in the wild is something I won't soon forget.

What makes moments like this even more special is that this was captured practically in my own backyard. I'm beyond blessed to live and work in an area where encounters like this aren't necessarily once-in-a-lifetime experiences — I'm fortunate enough to witness the incredible wildlife of the Northwoods on a fairly regular basis. I don't think I'll ever take that for granted.

And this is just the beginning. The elk rut is right around the corner, and you can count on me being back out there over the next couple of weeks — this time with the real camera gear ready to go! 📸

There's just nothing quite like being in the right place at the right time and getting a front-row seat to moments like this in the wild.
