Sonoma County Wine Library

Sonoma County Wine Library The Wine Library has many resources on wine, and maintains historical records on the local wine industry.

While the Healdsburg Library is under renovation some services are available at the History & Genealogy Library in Santa Rosa. The Sonoma County Wine Library provides access to all facets of wine information, the science and technology of growing grapes and making wine, the resonant history of wine around the world with a special emphasis on Sonoma County, and to the wine lover the enjoyment, mythology, poetry and romance of wine.

Co-hosted by the Sonoma County Wine Library Association

Join us for an author talk with Michael Sinowitz who will discuss topics from his new book Finding Meaning in Wine. The book explores the debates about how to evaluate wine and the problems inherent in numerical scoring as well as evaluative tasting notes, whether winemakers can be artists, the discourse in wine culture involving natural wine and biodynamic farming, as well as how people judge what makes a wine great. Program is free and wine will be available for a small donation.
