Candida von Braun Fine Art

Candida von Braun Fine Art Fifth-generation artist, equestrian, and architect. Featured in Times Square, Germany, Spain, Italy & US My life is rooted in a culture of creative expression.

Paintings on raw canvas with mineral tones capture horses’ spirit to bring power, focus and grace into the international collectors' lives. Steeped in the traditions of art, architecture, and photography my paintings are the culmination of years of study. In my series Equus, I explore the ongoing challenge between realism and abstraction. Fascinated with the process of dissolving the form, I like

to work alternately from abstraction to translating the freedom to more figurative work. The process, layering of textures as well as the explorations of the form has to remain visible to the viewer. Innately connecting to the animal and its personality, I translate the pure energy and personality into a painting. This process enables me to create allegories for intrinsic qualities that the viewer can connect to on an emotional level. This way the images become a reflection of the owner’s strength, power, grace, presence, playfulness, sincerity, serenity and inner calm. In the fray of life the paintings become a centering piece, inviting the owner to reconnect with their true self. My work has taken me to Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Brazil and throughout the US and is represented in private collections in Germany, Spain, Italy and the US.

Grace, Power, and the Poetry of Partnership.

Witness Conversano Dagmar and Chief Rider Andreas Hausberger in a beautifully relaxed partnership on the long rein at the Paris Gala of the Four Classical Riding Schools. Each frame captures the silent dialogue of a centuries-old tradition. An ode to unwavering trust, disciplined elegance, and the pure joy of movement.

A Thank you to Andreas Hausberger:

Your performance was as light and beautiful as a dance with great refinement and understanding between the two of you. Thank you for bringing all of us such joy to witness. Thank you for preserving the art for the world. Thank you for showing us how it is done correctly with kindness and patience. Conversano Dagmar obviously enjoyed the performance with relaxed swinging tail and softly listening ears. The natural swing in a relaxed horse can only come when the when a clear understanding and bond has developed through time together.
With deep respect for a life’s work and friendship.
