Annual Louis Jordan Birthday Celebration

If you are in and around Helena on July 8, 2026, stop by for a special edition of King Biscuit Time and a birthday celebration with cake for "The King of the Jukeboxes."

Time: Noon till 2 pm

Louis Thomas Jordan was an American jazz, blues, saxophonist and band leader from the late 1930s to the early 1950s. He was born on July 8, 1908 in Brinkley, Arkansas.

He is one of our featured artists in the amazing Arkansas in Song exhibit now on display in the DCC Visitor Center.
