"Savonius"
Vermont Marble, 14 Inches Tall

This sculpture is a celebration of the Savonius Wind Rotor, created by Sigurd Johannes Savonius, a Finnish inventor and architect in 1924. It is a drag type wind machine suitable for low speed steady winds.

After several years of moving from New England to Flat Rock, Henderson County, North Carolina and working on a new/old house, I have returned to stone carving in a small way: Welcome Pebble People! Each of these are 2" to 3" tall, is carved in a different type of stone and depicts a different mood. I am currently looking for help with retailing these in the Hendersonville area. I have retailed these in past in the $20 each range and the wholesale price would be negotiable. I currently have a stock of over 50 pieces, and plan on carving batches of a few dozen from time to time. I can offer exclusive sales in Hendersonville. Most of my work is larger in size, some are abstract and some are realistic. Please poke around this page to see more.
