At seven she began taking art lessons with a local New Jersey artist. She continued her art education at Arts High School in Newark NJ, where entrance to the school depended upon either music or art ability. From there she attended and graduated Kean University, attaining a BA in Fine Arts and Elementary Education. Aly then taught art in both secondary education and adult education over the next 2
0 years, while raising her family. Her interest in art and teaching was then combined as the owner/operator of her own art business for seven years. Here she enjoyed teaching over 100 students a week in all media, both children and adults. During this time, Aly also hosted cable TV shows demonstrating painting techniques in various media. Since then Aly has continued her artwork in England, submitting paintings to the Royal Academy of Art in London. Selling most of her work in Europe, she has now relocated to Hendersonville, TN, with her husband, who is an Old Master and Fine Art Consultant, Appraiser, and Surveyor. They have opened an art studio where Aly enjoys teaching drawing, using adaptations of many methods in developing her own 3-pencil style. She also teaches classes in watercolor, acrylics, and oil painting. Aly is an active member of Monthaven Art Society, where she plans to exhibit in future.
