Pam Foss Studio Gallery My sculpture is inspired by nature and a love of animals. I create figurative and abstract sculpture My studio/gallery is located in my home.

Pam Foss Gallery of original art is located in Mooresville, NC. The Gallery offers a lovely selection of original work from what is likely the most diverse collection in the state. There are always one or more sculptures underway in my studio and an ever changing selection of completed works in my home. I enjoy hosting visitors to my studio by appointment. Revolutionary? A series of photos of a large biomorphic drawing I created on a piece of Styrofoam. I drew this piece using a soldering iron and wax needle thereby melting my image into the surface of the Styrofoam. What I now had was both a 3D drawing and a mold all in one. I cast three distinct bas-relief paper sculptures from this mold using a cotton linter pulp from Twinrocker.

My bronze sculpture “Inquiry” captures the 1980 stretch battle between the filly Genuine Risk and Codex that set off the greatest controversy in the history of The Preakness Stakes. A controversy that echoed the Bobbie Riggs-Billie Jean of the 1970’ s “Battle of the Sexes”. “Inquiry”is on display at Inhouse Jewelers in Jacksonville, MD.

We departed Hickory early on February 15 for the drive back to Maryland. We celebrated our 62nd anniversary on the road, arriving at our new home in Belair late Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to settling in and getting my studio up and running. Many thanks to our son, Greg and his wife, Jen for all their help with the move.
