"Serenity at Manatee Springs" Original Oil, Tina Corbett. Sold and delivered to Pompano Beach yesterday. Met the nicest couple, the husband bonded with the painting when he visited Lanza Gallery & Art Supplies in April. He has been cave diving in North Florida for 30 years and is actually a wonderful cave photographer too. I combined the delivery with a visit to my kids, went to lunch with an old friend and drove the entire perimeter of Fort Lauderdale. Whew. Glad to be going home!

I am doing an online workshop on painting in horse portraits in realism. This wonderful Artist from England sent this out in her newsletter and I thought it was helpful advice for all artists. So I am sharing it.

"If you have ever waited for someone to shout 'fraud!', then you are most definitely not alone.

This is something that pops into my head on a fairly regular basis - am I good enough; is my technique correct; how do I compare to the skills of other artists; is my work 'artistic' enough; why would people want to collect my work; and most of all (because I am a realist artist) – does my work say more than a photograph can?

You might be surprised just how many artists feel like an 'imposter' - it's a form of self-sabotage that can eat away at our self-confidence and even stop us painting at all.
So don't let it."
