We are sad to announce the passing of a beloved, long time board member of the Highland Historical Society. Andy Finick was a well known, lifetime resident of Highland and will be greatly missed by all who knew him and remember his great sense of humor and stories. Our condolences to his entire family and many friends. Rest in peace Andy and thank you for your many years of dedication to the society and your entertaining personality.

THIS SATURDAY 11/1 @ 10AM @ the Hammond Public Library -- The Society's last event for 2025! Open to everyone & free to attend! We welcome back The Times of Northwest Indiana reporter, local history author, & veteran Joseph Pete to present on his new book "Lost Treasurers of Indiana." That's right -- he wrote another one! We can't recommend his 2020 book "Lost Hammond" enough. That one helped set Society President Tom Logan Novak down the rabbit hole of Region history!
