Did you know that the Ogden Air Logistics Complex operates a unique flight test unit out of Hill Air Force Base, Utah? In this photo, taken from a 151st Air Refueling Wing KC-135, U.S. Air Force pilots from the 514th Flight Test Squadron maneuver an F-22 and F-35 next to each other while waiting to receive fuel during a training mission on January 29, 2015.

The purpose of this unit is to conduct ground checks, functional check flights, and acceptance flights to verify the airworthiness and safety of military aircraft following depot maintenance.

We love showing off some of the amazing missions that have taken place at Hill Air Force Base over the years—even in the not-so-distant past! ✈️

Students can explore our collection of historic aircraft, learn about the people that shaped aviation history, and experience history up close. Whether you're studying STEM, Utah history, military history, or simply looking for an exciting day outside the classroom, there’s something for everyone!

Our next Planes and Popcorn event is coming up! 🍿✈️

We had a great turnout at our last event, and we hope to see you all again on 16 October for a screening of Top Gun: Maverick! 🎬
