As part of our 10-year anniversary, we're celebrating our Member Artists! Today we're featuring Member Artist JoAnn Wellner. JoAnn has participated at Catherine Bede Gallery since January 2026.

JoAnn freely admits her obsession with glass. She spent the first 25 years of her creative life making gift items, numerous panels and commissioned pieces in stained glass. The past 25 years have been devoted to kiln-formed glass.

Her knowledge and abilities have been enhanced by taking many classes from world renowned artists, both locally and internationally. Attending Pilchuck Glass School for two weeks in 2014 was the realization of a long-time goal. Having the opportunity to be exposed to many forms of glass art and to meet artists from around the world was a great experience.

In addition to creating and selling works which are greatly influenced by the beauty she sees in nature, she teaches the art of glass fusing in her fully equipped home studio.
