G. W. Hinckley collected many different kinds of seeds for the museum. He put them in labeled glass jars with covers painted red. He reported how he collected apple seeds from several types of apples. He gave large baskets of apples to the boys in a cottage and told them to eat the apples and put the seeds they find in the apples in glass jars for his collection. The collection contains jars of several different varieties of apples.
