In 1998, the MCA presented “Cindy Sherman: Retrospective” —the first major American museum exhibition to survey the complete works of Cindy Sherman, the acclaimed American artist whose groundbreaking use of mass media techniques and imagery embodies crucial developments in photography and art making.
