Ricardo Roig is a professional Fine Artist and exhibits his work in Roig Collection Art Gallery 252 First St Hoboken NJ USA, Roig Collection Art Gallery 254 E Broad St Westfield NJ USA and is the Artist in Residence at the W Hotel in Hoboken, NJ USA. Ricardo and his wife Michelle run these galleries with a small dedicated team to provide a great Art experience. Ricardo works in various media from
oil painting, drawing, collage and murals to his own novel technique for creating hand cut artwork. The latter is a process he developed while working towards his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting/Printmaking from Kean University in 2006. Ricardo draws a tremendous amount of inspiration from his love for his community, and one might argue, this is the twinkling je ne sais quoi quality that shines through in all of his works: commissions and personal pieces alike. Whether commissioned by the City of Hoboken for a mural of international tennis hero Michael Chang or creating a lasting memory of Champs-Elysées for honeymooners, Ricardo is fueled by their ideas, bringing them to life in only the way someone who is well studied, passion driven, and attuned can. Over the last decade, Roig has shown his work at various venues such as Hotel Bon Sol in Mallorca Spain, The Hoboken Historical Museum, The Other Art Fair Brooklyn NY, Central Booking NYC, and Art Market and Design Art Fair in Bridgehampton, NY. Currently Roig is experimenting with his new medium of collage, hand cut print and painting into experimental one off works on various surfaces of paper, canvas, and panels. Roig also sketches with colored pencils and makes these available directly through his website. Roig’s murals have also been placed with W Hotel Hoboken, Canopy by Hilton Hotels in Jersey City, Amazon, The Town of Westfield NJ, The City of Hoboken and The Veterans of Foreign Wars in Hoboken NJ among other privately commissioned murals. Every First Tuesday we host a monthly Mix and Sip from 6-8PM in the Westfield Gallery 254 E Broad Street with complimentary drinks, and local bites. This event gives collectors and collectors-to-be a chance to explore Roig’s curated catalog and preview his works in progress; all while mingling with fellow art lovers, including Roig himself. Roig accepts commissioned projects for private clients as well as corporations. To make an in person or virtual appointment and for more information [email protected]
