Open 6 days a week in one of the oldest buildings on Hoboken's waterfront, the Museum's exhibition space may be small, but packs a lot of information into a series of creative exhibits. Admission is just $5. Exhibits change every year, and topics have included a history of music, sweets, social & civic clubs, World War I, Hoboken in the 1970s, and Superstorm Sandy. Our upper gallery hosts six exhi

bits per year by local and regional artists. We employ interactive technology to expand our displays, and much of our collections have been digitized, easily searchable online. We organize lectures, films, tours, family fun and more. Our education programs reach thousands of children each year. We welcome volunteers for our special fundraising events, a great way to get to know people in town. Call 201-656-2240, or visit our website for more information.

✨ We heard America singing today at the Memorial Day Semiquincentennial Parade... ✨

Our Hoboken community came together, as she always does, to honor our veterans and celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary.

We cherished seeing everyone line the streets – born and raised and newcomers alike, united in jubilation.

Some of our favorite moments were seeing people peek out of their windows to take in the parade, akin to a Robert Frank photograph, and seeing Hoboken's children wave with glee.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who made this day possible, including the city of Hoboken, Hoboken Division of Cultural Affairs, the American Legion Post 107, Hoboken Business Alliance, and our generous sponsors. We must highlight and thank Maria Pepe, the 1859 Hoboken Base Ball Club Zack Alexander, Ms. Cassia Fidelis, and our volunteers for joining the Museum's float. Special shoutout to Larry Basinski for setting up our audio equipment! A million thanks to the Herculean efforts of Bob Foster, Victoria M. Moyeno, Geri Fallo, and James Perry, who comprised the Museum's Parade Committee.

Our love and immense gratitude to our veterans and beloved hometown. 💛

✨ It is our immense honor to spotlight Mr. Joe Truglio – the Grand Marshal of the Hoboken Memorial Day Semiquincentennial Parade. ✨

Mr. Truglio represents generations of service to both country and community.

A veteran who served during the Vietnam War and longtime business owner, Mr. Truglio follows a proud family legacy of military service.

His father was a World War II veteran. His uncles are honored on Hoboken’s World War II Memorial.

Mr. Truglio leads the parade in remembrance of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Please join us on Saturday, May 30th at 11 AM. 🇺🇲

✨ A once-in-a-generation moment is sailing past Hoboken this Fourth of July. ✨

This is also a fully BYO experience:

The event is a fundraiser supporting the Hoboken Historical Museum and its exhibitions, programs, and community events.
