“Between my education, work experience and service as a Commissioner, I feel highly qualified to carry out the necessary duties for the welfare of the residents living at Holbrook Court. This development is an essential part of the Town’s commitment to our residents. I feel experience counts when dealing with the needs of the residents and complying with the State Housing Commission oversight requirements”, Ms. Stinson stated recently.
Born and raised in East Weymouth, MA, Ms. Stinson has resided in Holbrook for 38-years and has been involved in various public programs in the community. She is Chair of the Holbrook Historical Commission and has also served as President of the Holbrook Historical Society. In addition, she is a Town Meeting representative for Holbrook’s Precinct 2. As part of her duties with the Historical Commission, Sara led the campaign to recognize Navy Lt. She obtained funding for the memorial plaque located near the crash scene at the Pine Street-Weymouth Street intersection and organized the dedication ceremony.
She also spearheaded a campaign to restore the grave marker of Elihu Adams, brother of President John Adams, at the Union Cemetery.
For several years, she organized the Annual Christmas Party for local children and also serves as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph’s Church. Sara is also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and the Mayflower Society.
