These photos are in our files without much identification. If you can identify, we would appreciate that. They may not be Jackson County people. We believe these are from the 1950s. Our best interpretation of names are: Ronald Spencer, Ralph, Eleanor McGee, Jimmie Curran/Curren, Joan Townsley, Juanita, Opal, Mary Joane? and Jerry Clark. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Sharing this from Katie Lehmkuhl Morris: This morning Turner and I went for a tour with Crown B Bison organized by the Jackson County Historical Society. Normally, “don’t feed the fluffy cows” but we had permission. 😊 In exchange for giving a treat most of these bison will let you briefly pet their heads. It was super cool to see these animals up close from the new “red dogs” to adults. 🦬

The demolition of the building at 208 New York is progressing well. This is another step in preparing the site for construction of a new museum. This process started years ago when the society acquired the property next to the Roebke House at 216 New York with the intention of erecting a new museum.
