One of our favorite things about being located in the HCC library is the book lists we make! Every exhibition we put together book recs related to the exhibitions on view. Some the artists or curators have been inspired by, and some we choose based on themes we see in the artwork. All of them are always available to check out from the library!

These recs are for River Valley Radical Futures, which is on view through tomorrow! Help us close out with a bang at tomorrow night's closing reception from 5-7pm.

Full list in the comments.

Join us at the Taber Art Gallery for an evening with Emily Kawano, co-founder of Wellspring Cooperative.

This participatory workshop will explore: What is the solidarity economy (SE)? What are examples of SE practices? How can we meet the multiple crises--climate change, another pandemic, war, economic meltdown, authoritarian crackdowns or political/social upheaval--that threaten system breakdown by building local solidarity economy ecosystems. Radical Futures gives us a peek at what this might look like in the future. This workshop will look at the concrete organizing in Springfield and Holyoke that is building this future now.

This event is free and open to the public with support from a grant from the Holyoke Local Cultural Council , a local agency supported by the Mass Cultural Council , a state agency.

❄️ We are closed until the spring semester. ❄️ Stay warm, enjoy art.
