One big happy family. The U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii had their Volunteer breakfast today at the Hale Koa’s Koko at Kalia Restaurant. We could not function properly without our volunteers. Their bright shiny faces greet all of our hundreds of visitors Tuesday through Saturday. Some volunteers do arranged tours. Also attending was the museum staff and their families. The museum store staff. Also the executive board and trustees of the Hawaii Army Museum Society and their families.
So next time you visit the U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii be sure to say hi to our volunteers.

On December 9th 2021 we had the honor of having Pearl Harbor Survivor Ike Schab visit the museum. We have learned that he has passed away. We send our condolences to his daughter Kimberlee Heinrich’s and family. This leaves only a few Pearl Harbor survivors left. (Also pictured is his care giver).

The U.S. Army Museum of Hawaii had the great honor of having Pearl Harbor Survivor Ike Schab and his daughter Kimberlee Heinrichs stop by. He allowed us and some of the visitors to take pictures. Also pictured is a caregiver for Mr. Schab. The Mililani JROTC was also there for a visit and was able to have their picture taken with him and ask questions of him. Thank you for your service Ike Schab. Also thanks to his daughter for all the hard work she needed to do to get him to Hawaii.

We will always remember.
