I regret all the time lost with you.
This is deeply personal, complex, and confusing. I hope that connections we made as a family might help bridge the gap to connecting again. The stories to be told. Adventures that are unfolding.
Sometimes the cure to abuse is just being seen. Allowing self to be vulnerable, to accept. As a male it has been difficult because not many can see me in this situation. Not many can move beyond their biases.
So those of you that have seen me and listened over the years are my tribe. I can never repay , , for being good people. I can not thank all the people that came into the frame gallery over the years. I can not thank enough those that have listened. Being heard is powerful. Being understood is enlightening.
So my advice on this day is listen with good intent. Everyone wants to be seen and understood. Some can not see what is so close to them. Be an advocate for good if you see something they can not see. Focus on the good and question openly why the negative is.
It has been almost 3 years since I have seen or spoken to my children. The babies I held by the fire on my chest through PNW winters. I wish you the best. Don’t take too long to connect. I promise it will be a profound moment in your life and personal growth
