Come visit our Spring Exhibit, “Marbles, Memories & More,” showcasing a selection of the more than 500 items added to the Society’s collection in 2025. Also in the exhibit are several intriguing paintings and portraits that entered the Society’s collection early in its history, yet arrived without any identifying information. If you recognize any of these individuals or have insights into their stories or creators, we would love to hear from you. Your knowledge could help us uncover and preserve an important piece of local history.

The exhibit will be on display through May 14. The Society is open Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, and Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM.

It was great meeting with the folks from Brimfield North yesterday and hearing their plans for the upcoming events at the Hopkinton Fair Grounds. We are excited to work with them!

We were already excited about our move for Brimfield North to the Hopkinton State Fairgrounds in Contoocook, NH but today we had a very productive meeting with local business owners and representatives from the American Legion and the Historical society and we left there feeling even more excited! What a welcoming and enthusiastic group! We look forward to working with everyone to make Brimfield North an even bigger success in our new home! Get ready for exciting stuff heading your way and start making plans now to attend Brimfield North on Memorial Day weekend!

Happy Valentine's Day! This sweet vintage Valentine’s Day card from the Society’s collection reads “Won’t you be my Valentine?” and has a pull-down paper mechanism to reveal a little boy aiming his golf club at a honeycomb tissue paper puff of hearts.

Happy Galentine's Day!

To celebrate Galentine's Day we're sharing this photo from the George W. Perry Scrapbooks. According to the caption, this group of ladies--aka "The Guzzlers"--were enjoying a drink at the village store in Hopkinton. It appears they were guests at the Perkins Inn, which was located on the Village Green in Hopkinton. Although the photo is dated July 17, 1889, we like to think these friends were pioneers of Galentine's Day!

Copies of the Hopkinton Historical Society exhibit book, "Thank You, Hopkinton!" will be available at Two Villages Art Society on Sunday, December 21 from 12-4 pm, while supplies last. The price is $23.
