Colombian artist Tatiana Escallón’s, “No Borders”, is a striking new body of work created in transit - on planes, trains, taxis, ferries, even while walking. Each piece captures the pulse of urban life, where color, text, and line collide in spontaneous, layered rhythms. Painting within these fleeting “non-places,” Escallón transforms moments of movement into spaces of presence, turning everyday transit into art that feels alive, unpredictable, and deeply connected to the world around us. Texas-based artist William Cannings’ inflated steel pillow is a masterclass in illusion - at first glance, it reads like a soft, plastic cushion tossed casually on a shelf, but this vibrant form is actually solid steel. Cannings shapes and welds each piece before inflating the metal with compressed air, then finishes it with neon automotive paint that gives the surface its irresistible, high-gloss glow. A perfect reminder that nothing is ever quite what it seems. And honestly… if you are still hunting for the perfect Christmas gift, this one won’t lose its shape, flatten over time, or steal your side of the bed. 🎁😉

We are wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving a little early! 🦃🥧🧡 The gallery will be closed for the holiday, Wednesday, November 26 - Friday, November 28. We will return to our gallery hours this Saturday, November 29, 11:00 am - 5:00 pm for the last day of our last exhibition, “End of an Era”!
As we gather and reflect, we are feeling especially grateful this year. Although the gallery will be closing at the end of this year, we are celebrating nearly three transformative decades in Houston - years that shaped the city’s contemporary art landscape, fostered unforgettable relationships with artists, collectors, and supporters, and allowed us the privilege of placing artwork in private homes, corporate spaces, and museum and institutional collections around the world. We are grateful for you!
Featured here is Houston-based artist Neva Mikulicz, whose drawing of a pumpkin pie captures the warmth of holiday nostalgia; with its soft, familiar palette and lovingly observed details, it feels like a nod to the classics - the kind of image that makes you crave the real thing before the oven even cools.
We hope your holiday is filled with great art, amazing people, and mouth watering meals!

Düsseldorf-based artist Maxim Wakultschik’s multi-faceted, dimensional works challenge the boundaries between painting and relief sculpture. Each surface shifts visually with the viewer’s movement, transforming simple glances into layered encounters and recalling traditions of Op Art, perceptual painting, and constructed image-making. A study in how form, shadow, and material can complicate the act of seeing. View this dynamic painting and more at the gallery today! Featured in our current exhibition “End of an Era”, on view until November 29!

Transforming a house into a home is all about the art you choose to live with - the pieces that catch your eye, shift your mood, and bring daily joy. ✨ In this recent , the space comes alive with Maxim Wakultschik’s dimensional graphite portraits, Adela Andea’s radiant light installation cascading up the staircase, and Arpad Forgo’s iridescent dimensional paintings that shimmer and shift throughout the day. Art doesn’t just fill a space - it animates it, inviting curiosity, sparking conversation, and turning the everyday into something extraordinary.

Texas-based artist Vincent Falsetta lets us peek directly into his mind with his watercolor-and-ink daily thought drawings - a blend of insight, vulnerability, and unexpected humor. Each hand-rendered bubble captures a fleeting thought, a task, a worry, a joy… even a mention of Anya Tish woven into the stream of consciousness. Together, they form a portrait of a day, a season, a life - honest, relatable, and quietly profound. From mundane errands to studio reflections, these drawings remind us how poetic (and funny) our inner to-do lists can be when we actually lay them out. ✨ Thought by thought, Falsetta turns the everyday into art. View this insightful drawing and more in our current and last exhibition, “End of an Era” - on view until November 29!

Vadim Gushchin’s silver gelatin print “Bread” transforms the everyday loaf into a striking study of form, texture, and quiet drama. With its sculptural presence and rich tonal depth, this photograph turns something as ordinary as bread into an object of contemplation - and maybe even temptation. A reminder that sometimes simplicity is the most satisfying indulgence. 🍞
