The Collector's Museum

The Collector's Museum OK, THIS IS OPEN TO HOBBY RELATED GROUPS, like your car club or collectors group. BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! I open it myself, when in town, why it can be free!

Eighteen cases containing thousands smaller items are on display. Including this extensive collection of Happy Face (Smiley Face) items from the seventies. There are around two hundred items in this collection alone. The baby in the foreground is crawling across a case of Garbage Pail Kids collectibles from the eighties. Garbage Pail items were taken out of production because the makers of Cabbage

Patch Doll sued and won because they were being made mockery of. To the left is the prototype Rocky & Bullwinkle Pinball machine. In the museum is also the original Elton John Pinball Wizard pinball machine. There is a Baby Pac Man, and the original x-***ed South Park Pinball. Other collections include, Children's Toy Electric Stoves, Portable Radios, Pot metal Souvenir buildings, Automobile memorabilia, Puppets, Carnival Chalkware, Model cars, dealer promotion cars and Dinky Toys, Worlds Fair from the 1800's through Seattle, Max Headroom Collectibles, Portable televisions, Automobile dealer promotion items, Brides and grooms (wedding cake tops), British Royalty, King and Queen, Clock Radios, and Magic Lanterns and glass slides from the turn of the century.

A lot of history on the latest! 142 mph was quite a lot in 1959! Same owner, 65 years. I was able to find a pair of front ties, same tread and manufacturer as the originals went on today. The last photo, isn’t the same car, but I like the shot, from the magazine, which write up the previous owner and builder. Sometimes, when you’re going sooo fast, when you’re pulled over, you need the parachute!

Let's have coffee and talk cars! You know, I seem to have all the boxes set correctly, so you can post about your car, your collections and what you want to share, hobby related, but you can’t! My goal is to resolve this, so you can!. This is rater than commenting on a post I put up, I've been trying to correct this for a couple YEARS!! If I go to a site, where members can't contribute, beyond comments to a moderator's posts, I don't bother with it. Next week, I am going camping, with a friend , who has an RV adventures, travel site and she said, she could correct this for me/you/us. Yay! So, soon you will be able to post and share your interest's, on the museums wall, not just as a comment, related to one of my posts. That's our coffee table below, soon, let's chat about your subject lines, the cool cars you like, motorcycle, collections and history/hobby related stuff.!

Found this, going though things, related to the newest addition. Can you imagine, going 143 mph is the new roadster, back in the late ‘50’s! Yikes! What’s the fastest, you’ve driven?

I had time to be deep and a bit intellectual, when I was in Los Angeles, picking up my new 1932 Ford roadster. What’s especially cool about the car, are several things. 1. it has a period Chrysler hemi engine, plus a Helibrand rear end and a ton of chrome plating, before chroming got up there, with the price of gold. 2. It was a one owner, for 64 years (not his age, he passed), actually built the roadster 64 years ago and kept it in perfect condition. 3. Lastly, all the photos related to its build and its life, to date, plus the awards it had received over the years, but wait, this is also about automobile related art! In a deep moment, I went to “The Corey Helford Gallery” to check out, their auto related art show, that even had spread out, onto their parking lot. Check out their art here!

2AM, just pulled into a “Motel 6”, some where off I-5, in California, headed towards Oregon. Oh, looked at the map, it says I’m in Dunnigan. Ate at Harris Ranch last night, it was excellent! Some, I am sure, wonder why, a “street rod”. The museum has cars, high lighting different eras and the styles of those time periods.1950’s and ‘60’s, hot rods were trending we. The coolest engines, at the time, were the Chrysler hemi engines
, which this has! No one could afford all that chrome plating today, which was trend back there!
