"Having been raised in a family that treasured all things “Antique”, I grew up loving the feel of a beautifully set table, with the proper Silverware in all its intricacy and beauty. Antique silver is a living matter and as such, gives your daily meals a whole new concept…. From this stemmed my dream of creating an Antique Silver company that would share this timeless beauty, in a world that seemed to be running too fast. I fueled my dream by collecting more and more fine pieces, but caught in a job that left me little free time, I kept pushing back the option of creating the company.

About LA Fine Art Gallery: Nigel Turner
The owner, Nigel Turner has an extensive knowledge of European paintings acquired during his forty-five years in the art business.

He entered the art world at the age of seventeen, taking a position as porter in the Picture Department of the auctioneers W. & F.C. Bonham & Sons in Knightsbridge, London. Rising to assistant Cataloguer he helped in the evaluation and identification of paintings consigned to the forty plus auctions held annually. This early exposure to such a vast number and variety of paintings formed the basis of the knowledge he possesses today. By the late 1970’s he was keen to move on and so joined the gallery of Rafael Valls one of London’s most prestigious Old Master dealers. In 1979 he became the assistant to Roy Miles at his eponymous gallery. At this time Roy Miles was considered to be the world’s preeminent dealer in Victorian Art. Whilst here Nigel travelled extensively throughout Europe and the Americas sourcing paintings for sale in London. Since 1981, Nigel Turner has owned and operated the Los Angeles Fine Art Gallery.

About William Cook: Each year we exhibit at a number of antique fairs both in England and America. We see this as vital part of our business as we love to travel and meet old clients and new and personally present our stock. Our stands are renowned for always having a varied mix of furniture, objects and works of art from the late 17th to mid-20th century always with quality being the common theme. A list of shows we are planning to exhibit this year is published both on the Home and Shows page on this web site. Should you wish to visit any particular show where we are exhibiting please do get in touch and we will make sure you receive complimentary tickets.
