📍 Open: Thursdays & Saturdays
⏰ Hours: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
🚶‍♂️ Want to take a full tour? Plan to arrive by 4:00 p.m.
💲 Free admission during regular hours! Donations toward our operations are welcome.

The Huntingdon County Historical Society is hosting their third winter lecture at the lodge on Sunday, March 15 at 2pm. We’re excited to host visitors again and will be announcing our museum hours for this year soon!

Thank you for a wonderful season at Isett Heritage Museum! As our regular season comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who visited this year.

The Isett Heritage Museum will be open for tours this weekend during the following hours:
🗓 Friday, October 17 | 4–7 p.m.
🗓 Saturday, October 18 | 1–4 p.m.

Admission to the museum is now free, and we look forward to welcoming visitors this weekend.

The Isett Heritage Museum will be open to the public this weekend during the following hours:

🗓 Friday, October 3 | 4–7 p.m.
🗓 Saturday, October 4 | 12–4 p.m.

Saturday also coincides with Juniata College’s Homecoming & Family Weekend, and we’ll be hosting an open house for all of our guests to visit at their own pace.

Tour guides will be available both days to answer questions and provide insight into the exhibits.

We welcome visitors to stop by and experience the museum’s unique collection of local artifacts and stories.

We will be celebrating Free Museum Day this Saturday, September 20, along with many other museums across Huntingdon and Mifflin Counties. The museum will be open house format from 1-4 p.m., and we are excited to host a special guest speaker, Dr. Jonathan Burns, in the lodge at 2 p.m. He will be presenting his talk, 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙘𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨: 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙚𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝘼𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙚𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙨𝙮𝙡𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙖.

Dr. Jonathan Burns is a North American archaeologist, Director of the Cultural Resource Institute at Juniata College where he is also a professor in the History/Art History Department. He specializes in the archaeology of Pennsylvania with a focus on eighteenth century fortifications and battlefields. Burns is the director of the Veterans Archaeology Program, a grassroots initiative that involves U.S. military veterans in archaeological research. With America’s 250th commemoration fast approaching, this talk summarizes the professional archaeology of Pennsylvania’s Revolutionary War sites over the past 50 years and highlights the technologies that have revolutionized the way archaeologists interpret the material record of the past.

We’re thrilled to welcome you to our 2025 season with a special open house on Friday, July 11, from 4–7 p.m. Explore the exhibits, learn about local history with Fred Lang of the Huntingdon County Historical Society, and enjoy refreshments from Sunset Slush and Doan’s Bones. Admission is free during the event.

Memorial Day, previously called Decoration Day, is a day on which we honor all of those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom. At Isett Heritage Museum, we honor all of those who have served, and we greatly appreciate all of the sacrifices made for our freedom. The flag photographed here is a vintage American Flag with only 48 stars, meaning it was made prior to 1959 when Alaska and Hawaii were made States. Have you seen a vintage flag like this one before?
