Def: "EVANGELINE" Evangeline comes from the Latin word "evangelium" meaning "gospel". The Latin word itself is derived from the Greek words "eu"—"good"—and "angela"—"news". Meaning: "Messenger of the Good News of the Gospel."

Why the name "Evangeline?" The Evangeline is a piece of Huntington Beach and Orange County history. Built in 1906, it was originally called "The Evangeline Hotel." It has hosted a wide variety of guests over the years, but now serves as a home/venue to the Circuit Riders movement.
