Say hello to HCM's newest Play Guide, Jalen!

Jalen is from Bluefield, WV. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and works as a first-grade teacher at Central City Elementary. She loves working with young students and helping them grow both academically and personally. Jalen enjoys helping children build confidence, develop foundational skills, and discover a love for learning each day.

You may see Jalen if you visit on Sundays - we're super excited to welcome Jalen as part of the team!

Is there a little one in your life who gets nervous about visiting the doctor? Teddy Bear Checkup may be the treatment! Typically held every 4th Thursday of the month at 10:30am, these programs are designed to help children practice working through medical fear and anxiety in a fun setting.

Bring your own stuffy to visit with Nurse Patty during program hours, and start turning some of those big emotions to the positive side!

Program is free with admission.

The Good Time Kids' Show is a one-of-a-kind, high energy performance where kids don't just watch the show, they become part of it! This beloved FREE annual event is designed for children of all ages and the grown-ups who love them. Make plans to enjoy the characters you know and love on a NEW ADVENTURE on Friday, June 12. Doors open at 5:30 pm. Live music begins at 6 pm. The show starts at 6:30 pm.

Join the June Harless Center for their Fifth Annual Cardboard Boat Regatta on Friday, June 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Marshall University. Students will design and build cardboard boats and then race them across the pool! Advance registration is required.
