UPDATE: Due to the high volume of rain expected for the rest of the week, local asphalt batch plants will not be operating. As a result, our paving work cannot be completed tomorrow as originally scheduled. The work has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026, with the same road closure in place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we work to complete this project safely and with the best possible results.

TRAFFIC NOTICE: Temporary Polk Street Closure

A portion of Polk Street will be closed this week while crews replace a water service line.

Polk Street will be closed between Main Street and Marsh Street on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The same closure will be in place on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. so crews can pave and restore the roadway. The paving work Thursday may wrap up earlier depending on contractor timing.

Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. Traffic will be routed to Stryker Road, with additional traffic directed south on Ash Street where necessary.

We appreciate the public’s patience while this work is completed and encourage drivers to use caution when traveling in the area.
