The 31 room mansion includes 9 marble fireplaces, spectacular painted ceilings, flushing toilets, a built-in 6,000 gallon water tank, and a 48,000 gallon w**e cellar.

The Vaile Mansion is one of the best examples of Second Empire style architecture in the United States.

The Vaile Victorian Society would like to thank John Perkins for his help and support in saving the Vaile Mansion from a potential sale. We are still working toward a GO Bond for restoration but John Perkins organized meetings for the Bingham Waggoner the Vaile Mansion and other entities. He was responsible for the current plan. Thank you John. He is the impetus for a potential solution for the historic sites. We appreciate your solution John

What a wonderful day at the Vaile Mansion as we celebrated America 250!🇺🇸

Despite the summer heat, friends and neighbors came together to honor our nation’s history on the beautiful grounds of the mansion. We were proud to welcome the Independence 76 Fire Company, the Daughters of the American Revolution for a moving reading of the Declaration of Independence, and the wonderful live music of Beth Vernon and Walt Chambers, which added the perfect patriotic touch to the afternoon.

Guests also enjoyed delicious ice cream from Scoop A Doodle Moo—a welcome treat on such a hot day!

Of course, no visit to the Vaile Mansion would be complete without spending time with Mr. and Mrs. Vaile, who greeted visitors and helped bring the mansion’s rich history to life.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, and helped make this America 250 celebration such a success!
