The car was the only form of ownership that was afforded to these families resulting the asset serving as a form of identity and self-expression.

RAREVIEWS will open along side of El Mac’s ( ) solo presentation, Amor Hecho Visible on February 3 from 5 to 9pm, hosted by . Please come through to celebrate both artist’s awesome shows. For a preview, shoot us a DM or e-mail.

For this year's edition of Art Basel Miami Beach (), Residency Art Gallery will unveil a solo presentation by Los Angeles-based visual narrator Texas Isaiah (), showcasing a new series of photographs titled It's the Starkness of the Day.

Illuminating the private, quiet moments experienced as one navigates grief within personal spaces, these images depict two sitters, Sir Lex and Mello-Jahlil, whom Texas Isaiah photographed at home to create intimate scenes of self reflection. With these portraits, Texas Isaiah explores questions such as, Who are we when we wake up versus when we look in the mirror? How do we speak to ourselves? What is the interiority of our grief when we are in solitude? And what do we see when we are on the outside looking in?

Please join us December 8-10 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Positions, Booth P-08. Visit for tix. Huge thanks to Ken at & Andy at Framing House Design for getting us ready for the ball ✌🏾

OPENING RECEPTION TONIGHT // Larry Li “Ask Your Ma About ‘89”

Please join us tonight for the opening of Ask Your Ma About '89, artist Larry Li's first solo exhibition in Los Angeles. Speaking to generational trauma and inherited histories, Li presents new works which ruminate upon his family’s experiences of the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests and massacre. In these new works, Li layers traditional Chinese iconography with historical scenes, at times applying collaged paper cuts to his painted canvases, evoking a process of parsing manifold elements within one’s diasporic identity.

Please note that our address is 1213 District Dr. Inglewood 90303. The parking structure for the Hollywood Park Retail District is located on 97th St and Prairie Ave.
