Robert Mickelsen has spent a lifetime translating the beauty of nature into glass. Having lived much of his life by the ocean, sea life continues to inspire his work, especially fish, which he sculpts with striking realism and intricate detail.

Working in borosilicate glass, Robert melts rods and tubes in an oxygen/propane flame, shaping each piece entirely by hand. Every sculpture is freehand formed, making each one truly one of a kind.
