Our 2025 photo contest was a HUGE success with almost 80 entries! All photos will be displayed in the IHS building this summer and winners will be announced soon.

Time for round 2 - this year we are asking for pictures from 6th and/or 7th Lake! Please email them to [email protected] with the subject "IHS photo contest".

This is a photo of Inlet’s little league baseball team in 1984, with a picture of the same spot today behind home plate. The original fence is still in use.

This is a newspaper clipping describing how the Marjorie was going to be raised after having sunk in Fourth Lake during a violent storm in November of 1902. The steamer was heavily laden with freight when it quickly sank in 63 feet of water. One of the crew members, Mr. Burt Murdock, was lost when the vessel went down. The boat was successfully raised. It was owned by William D. Moshier of the Arrowhead Hotel.

Here is old film footage of a Memorial Day parade in Inlet. Marching bands from all over Hamilton County would participate. Old Forge was involved too. The footage was captured in front of the Church of the Lakes.
