His paintings reflected his personality, sincere and direct, yet softened by his appreciation of the beauty in all subjects. Although Ludlow passed away in 2019 at the age of 92, collectors in the United States and abroad still find in his paintings a calm depth that is both relaxing, yet imaginative.
