The Pacific Northwest Chapter will be featured at The Museum of Flights "Jet Blast Bash" this weekend from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

We will be in the parking area beside the runway.

Drop by and see us. We love to talk to people about the history of the Distinguished Flying Cross and will even relate stories of what it was like to fly combat missions during the Vietnam War.

We keep it kid friendly and have some give away pins for any interested child.

This event is always fun, and you can even watch the Blue Angles prepare and then take off right in front of you at about 3:00PM.

Come join us as we celebrate aviation and enjoy a glorious Seattle weekend.

Also, a reminder that the Pacific Northwest Chapter will be participating in the dedication of the Museum of Flights new Vietnam Memorial Garden this coming Saturday.

Members will also be present in the Vietnam section of the main gallery on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We will have a table set up and members there to discuss their experiences and willing to talk about military aviation. We will also have some artifacts for you to look at and to discuss.

Come on by and talk to the guys in the white shirts. We get lonely if not one talks to us.😞

Checking back in. It's been a while since I posted on this site. As one of the founding members of the PNW Chapter of the Distinguished Flying Cross Society I was pleased to see a good turnout at the annual meeting last weekend. For those of you who did not attend, it's a great group with excellent comradery.

Come join us at Boeing Field's Museum of Flight's "Jet Blast Bash" next Saturday, August 4th and Sunday August 5. We will be set up in the parking lot to talk military aviation history generally and about the history of the Distinguished Flying Cross. We will also be available to discuss our personal experiences of flying in combat.

Come talk to us and the other presenters and watch the Blue Angles take off and return. There will be aircraft and cars on static display to enjoy.

SEE YOU THERE!

The PNC will have a booth at the Museum of Flight's Jet Blast Bash on August 5th and 6th. We will be located in the Museum's parking lot adjacent to the flight line at Boeing Field flight line.

Come by to say hello and meet some of our members. We are eager to answer questions about our group, our combat experiences and discuss whatever interests you about military aviation.

It's also a great spot to watch the Blue Angles take off and land and to see all that the Museum of Flight has going on for the fun event.

The Pacific Northwest Chapter Reception at The Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery in Bellevue, Washington on June 13th, kicking off the Thom Ross exhibit "My Last Conversation with Albert Ball." The exhibit runs from June 14th through July 8.

This was a fun evening in a new venue for our chapter and we very grateful to the Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery for allowing us to co-host this event with them.

Tom Ross has created a unique series of works depicting the young WWI flying aces as real people and not just legends. His use of materials for the paintings and frames, which reflects the construction of the aircraft they flew, added a depth of connection to these very real men who were caught up in a legend making struggle.
