May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to highlight the importance of caring for our mental well being.

Museums are good for your mental health. They can help reduce stress, spark curiosity, encourage reflection, and create opportunities for connection and learning. They offer spaces where people can slow down, explore new ideas, and feel a sense of belonging within their communities.

Did you know alligators can run up to 12 miles an hour? “If an alligator decides to chase you, run faster than your friend.” 🐊

Hear one of our wildlife biologists, Corey Wright, share insight about Mississippi’s official state reptile: the American alligator. He recently appeared on Mississippi Public Broadcasting to talk more about these incredible reptiles. We always enjoy the opportunity to share more about Mississippi’s native wildlife!
