Circa 1980's
An unidentified JATCO employee is engaged in welding on a transport trailer. Sparks are emitted, with some landing on the ground, while smoke rises into the atmosphere. The worker is fully attired in light blue coveralls and a welder's mask.

The trailer is painted in Omaha orange and shows significant signs of rust and grime. The welding activity is occurring within an open-bay section at the Kellogg Ave yard.

The previous W.R. Arthur building, located at 328 W State St, Janesville, WI 53546, was officially demolished this week on December 10, 2025.
They utilized that building from 1923 to 1948.
Thanks to the submitted photographs.

The reason for the building's demolition was its poor condition, as the tornado last year had torn off a section of the roof.

December 8, 1941
W.R. Arthur & Company, Inc.
In the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor attack, the Arthur fleet is presently stationed in Janesville. This fleet acts as the carrier for the Janesville Chevrolet assembly facility. It signifies one of the last shipments to be sent from the previous lot situated at the intersection of State Street and South Jackson Street prior to the plant's transition to wartime production. The building is currently owned by Northland Truck Equipment. The new lot has been relocated behind the Janesville Chevrolet plant at 1263 CHERRY ST.
This is a series of photographs.
